Ukraine. Investigative journalism as a guard of the reforms

The project is implemented in cooperation with the Regional Press Development Institute from Kiev. We started our activities last year. Ukrainian journalists took part in workshops dedicated to security and to data journalism, among other things. Over 30 investigative articles were published within the project until now. Most of them concern abuse connected to the implementation of the reforms on the local level. Journalists from the occupied areas of Eastern Ukraine participated in the project as well. Another 20 investigative topics are under preparation.

DSE foundation is the only organisation that supports investinagive journalism on the local level in 2016. In the area of investigative journalism, many organisations work only with media from Kiev.

The project `Investigative journalism in Ukrainian regional and local media as a guard of the reforms` is implemented within the framework of the Poland-Canada Democracy Support Program operated by Solidarity Fund and financed by the governments of Canada and Poland (as a part of the program of Polish development aid of the Polish MFA).
